The objective of the RSPH Level 4 Award in Violence Prevention and Reduction for Strategic Specialists is to support individuals working in healthcare settings to develop a working knowledge of practices to prevent and reduce the incidence of violence and abuse. Holders of this qualification will have the appropriate knowledge and skills to understand the causes of violence and the public health approach to preventing and reducing it, to assess adapt and implement organisational procedures in relation to violence prevention and reduction and to plan, delivery and evaluate micro- training on this subject. This qualification is aimed at organisational leads for violence prevention and reduction working in settings such as NHS Trusts, primary care, social care, voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations, and Integrated Care Boards (ICB’s).
